Pakistan has been facing energy crises for many years. The main reason behind the crisis is that the government has not invested in cheap power projects in time. Nowadays, high inflation causes more taxes on consumers. More taxes cause high electricity bills.

Here are some ways to save electricity, which reduce electricity bills. Tips to reduce electricity bills are below.

  • Unplug devices when not in use.
  • Turn off additional lights. 
  • Use energy-saving lights instead of traditional bulbs.
  • Consumers should use decreasing energy-consuming devices such as Air Conditioners, Irons, water pumps, electric heaters, microwave ovens, washing machines, and electric cattle. 
  • Consumers should maintain low electricity usage between 6 pm to 10 pm.
  • Consumers should turn off electric devices through a switch instead of lying on standby mode. 
  • Always have the air conditioner’s thermostat adjust at 26 degrees. 
  • Utilize the sun’s light more and more in offices.
  • Decrease the usage of electric stairs in shopping malls.
  • Upon a customer’s arrival in the shop, the merchandiser should turn on additional lights. Otherwise, non-essential lights should remain off.
  • Increase the usage of low-power consumption machines in industries.
  • For wiring, always use standardizer cables.
  • Properly insulate your home, which helps to maintain a consistent indoor temperature.
  • Paint your roof white to maintain a pleasant environment in the house.
  • Unplug the charger after the mobile is charged.
  • Traditionally, dry your clothes.
  • Encourage family members to adopt the habit of saving electricity.
